Planting Seeds

Our classrooms had a great time planting seeds this week! Planting is great for enhancing fine motor development. Scooping up the dirt, placing the seeds in pots & pouring water all take fine motor control & strength. As we teach our Academy kids to garden, they develop important motor skills that help them improve their academic skills such as writing, cutting & typing.
In addition, we can't wait to watch our seeds sprout up to beautiful flowers!

Picnic Lunch!

Today was the perfect day for a picnic lunch! Our young toddlers enjoyed having lunch under the sun!

Shape Hunt!

Our young toddlers enjoyed searching for shapes around their classroom today! We LOVE their early math skills ;-)

Bike Day!

What  perfect weather for bike day! These kids had so much fun showing off their wheels to their friends & teachers. We all are amazed at how coordinated everyone is as they ride. We had many on two-wheelers who were FAST! Our scooter riders also zoomed along laughing & enjoying the freedom of this huge area for them to ride. Parents, thanks so much for loading up bikes & scooters this morning. It was a great time!

We wanted to take a moment to thank all of our essential workers! We are honored to care for your children during this time & thank you for all you risk as you give back to our community! Our Academy kids took part in a sweet way to say thank you!

All About Bugs!

Our Frog Street Curriculum topic this week is all about bugs! Our friends have had the best time learning all about creepy, crawly creatures! We sprinkled kindergarten readiness in there along the way as well.
