Today was a big day for our kindergarteners-to-be... the school bus can for a visit! Ms. Dixon from FSSD brought her bus so our cadets were able to board &get all of their questions answered. The kids had a lot of great ones. Afterwards they walked the perimeter of the bus learning all of the rules that will keep them safe!
Water days are the best days! Our toddlers take full advantage of the fun by splashing & stomping in any puddle they can find. We love to make bubbles in our water tables & add coloring to make it a little extra fun for everyone.
Our Pre-K 1 took turns naming colors as fast as they could today as they played with kaleidoscopes. The kids were fascinated at how quickly the colors changed & thought it was super fun to name colors as quickly as they could say them!
Our Pre-K teachers work very hard to ensure all of our Kindergarten Boot Campers are ready for their big day! One of today's activities included a color matching game. Each child took a turn to match their colors by sorting into categories. Little activities like this create a big impact on their overall awareness for identifying colors that help create a cognitive link between visual clues & words.
This week is All About Art! Our Academy kids have explored the many different forms of art through hands-on projects, making music on their own & using their minds to create unique ideas. It has been a week of learning & fun. Take a look at our Pre-K 1 class painting like Justin Pollock!
We are so excited to kick off our annual Kindergarten Boot Camp program! KBC is 8 weeks of fine tuning kindergarten entrance skills. We add in special guests, the lending library & cafeteria days & before we know it, our rising kinders are pros!
Who doesn't love bike day?! This is a fan favorite & it always is loads of fun for everyone. Each class took their turn racing around the school grounds. Such a fun way to get our gross motor in for the day!
