Tummy Time!

TUMMY TIME! Our infants are getting the most out of their exercise routines these days. They are hard at work getting their tummy time in and gaining more control over those big body muscles. Tummy time is important at this age to strengthen their upper body muscles so they can master the next step of sitting up. Most babies this age are starting to reach for things and roll for objects on the floor. Before we know it, they will be running around!

Out with pajama day, in with Superhero Day! The kids love their dress up days and it is nice to switch it up every once in a while to something new. Superhero day was a big hit and of course of teachers take it to a whole other level. Pre-K 1 had a backdrop put up so the kids could really feel their powers coming through. They had a great time pretending and getting into their character for the day!

Butterfly Creations!

Pre-K One is focused on BUGS! They are learning about various bugs and their body parts. Each child was asked to draw their own butterfly and make sure the different parts were shown. Most of the kids drew a whole "butterfly family." We love seeing their imagination come out when they are asked to draw something from their imagination versus a picture in front of them.

Imaginary Zoo Animals

Pre K 1 was using their imagination to come up with their own zoo animals. Some of them got a bit goofy, however, they took their ideas and ran with them! They were asked to name it, draw it and "make it real" on paper. They were very proud of what they came up with. Letting the kids freely think of how they envision an object or idea is a great way to get them thinking outside the box.
