The ability to identify colors is considered a marker and milestone in a child’s cognitive process. Recognizing colors and identifying color names is an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of colors helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words. Our friends have enjoyed Arts Week here at Seaboard Lane & had tons of fun matching and sorting colors on a color palette.

Infant Art Time!

Art allows children to practice a wide range of skills that are useful not only for life, but also for learning. The biggest skills children practice when participating in art activities are fine motor skills. Grasping pencils, crayons, chalk and paintbrushes helps children develop their fine motor muscles.
